Last little bits

Last day in Holland and I am packing my suitcase. Tomorrow we fly back to São Paulo, to our dogs and my sewing room. I came to realize that being in Holland is not really a holiday, it is more our second home from where we can be with our family and where we run around to see our friends. Unfortunately there is not even enough time to see them all.

During this month there have been many great moments and some sad ones. It is simply hard to leave our parents behind when their health is not what it used to be. But I have no choice and they understand. I can come back whenever this is necessary and I always have our small apartment where I can stay.
Museum Panorama Mesdag

achteruit gaat. Maar ik heb geen keuze en gelukkig
snappen ze het. Ik ben gewoon erg blij met ons
plekje in

Some random pictures from the past weeks:

Worth a visit is the still working gin distillery in The Hague: Van Kleef. You can try all there flavours!!

Antwerp

We visited the museum Panorama Mesdag,  it is like stepping back more than 100 years in time.

Panorama Mesdag, zo mooi!

A day in Antwerp. Did you know that the names
comes from the Dutch word 'hand werpen'—akin to
Old English 'hand' and 'wearpan' (= to throw), that
has changed to today's warp.

Back in The Hague, close to the paper shop Damen at Noordeinde, is a very small lane to a very pretty garden with the smallest flower shop in town.

A very funny sight, this giant stroller near a giant lamp shade, performing arts at Het Lange Voorhout.

Seen inside the town hall of The Hague: an installation of antique and modern Chinese clothes.

Some other bits:
A pincushion for a friend
A new project!

To bring with me to Brazil

And this really was the very last thing we did in Holland!

Cheers from Holland! Hilde

    groetjes Marijke
