Setting up again

Surrounded with gifts from friends

After every move it is a challenge again to make a corner for my crafts.
Although our goods are still with the customs in Brazil, I couldn't resist making space for my retired Bernina in the guest room of our holiday home in Holland

Putting the corner together
LOL

We move our furniture from Brazil to Holland where it will go into storage, except for my materials, Bernina and other tools. I have clearly labeled the boxes I want to take out when the container arrives. No idea if I have space enough in this room... LOL

If it ever arrives! This ship has had an accident and lost its front part with containers...

Later this year we will move to Santiago, Chile, without our furniture and my stuff. I don't want to move them around anymore. Besides that, I want to spend more time with my parents and set up a life in Holland. But I also want to be with DH, so I will be traveling back and forth.

The sewing corner in the guest room is ready.
The house building project is on the design wall and should be ready sooner than later!
My dad is back home after a successful treatment with ECT and I wanted this quilt
to be finished before he came home. Better start building again!

All wrapped up

All is wrapped up in 3 different layers of material, ready for transport over the ocean in a container
They needed 4 days to pack all items one by one
There goes the flying sofa from the 8th floor down! It didn't fit in the elevator...
The bigger items are wrapped in wooden crates for extra protection
While the traffic jam is looking on, the stuff is placed on the sidewalk
Grrr!
With small vans all items are hoisted to an area where customs will inspect all goods. In Brazil this is a long bureaucratic process where they check if all we brought in 2.5 years ago, we take with us again out of Brazil. Especially electronics (my Bernina!) have to be taken out again, broken or not. This process can take a couple of weeks.... Grrr!
And now we wait!
